REVO Token

1. Introducing REVO

The Revo (REVO) token serves as the native utility and governance asset for the Revolution Layer 2 blockchain, designed to facilitate secure staking, decentralized governance, and transactional efficiency. As a ZK Rollup-based Layer 2, Revolution leverages the Revo token to drive a scalable, low-cost, and composable staking economy that powers applications across social, gaming, AI, and decentralized commerce.

2. Token Utility

2.1 Staking and Network Security

  • Validator Staking: Validators are required to stake a minimum of 100,000 REVO tokens to operate a node, securing the network through ZK proofs and data availability.

  • Delegated Staking via Creator Pools: Users can delegate their REVO tokens to Creator Pools, enabling programmable incentives, content access, and governance. This mechanism enhances staking participation beyond traditional validator models.

2.2 Transaction Fees

  • Low-Cost Transactions: REVO tokens are used to pay for transaction fees within the Revolution ecosystem, benefiting from ZK Rollup efficiency and decentralized data availability.

  • Fee Allocation: Collected fees are distributed as part of block rewards and contribute to long-term network sustainability, transitioning to a fee-only model after the initial issuance period.

2.3 Governance

  • Onchain Voting: REVO holders participate in network governance, voting on protocol upgrades, fee structures, and governance proposals through DAO mechanisms.

  • Creator Pool Governance: Staked REVO tokens provide voting rights within Creator Pools, influencing reward distribution, content moderation, and community initiatives.

2.4 Incentives and Rewards

  • Block Rewards: A total of 250,000,000 REVO tokens are distributed as block rewards over ten years, declining linearly to incentivize early adoption and network security.

  • Creator & Fan Rewards: Rewards are distributed every block (every 2 seconds), with allocation determined by stake proportion, validator fees (10%), and creator-defined fees (0-100%).
